For the First Time in Europe
The International Cloud Symposium features expert speakers from around the world to present on the most important and relevant topics pertaining to the emerging field of Cloud Computing.
The theme of "The Future of Cloud Computing" highlights many of the modern technology innovations that are being developed in support of Cloud-based services. As a co-located conference being held in conjunction with the 2nd International SOA Symposium, this event further addresses the ever-widening convergence between SOA and Cloud-based services.
The International Cloud Symposium is brought to you by the same team responsible for the SOA Symposium series. Therefore, the same philosophy of "substance only" is applied to all chosen speaker sessions in order to ensure consistent depth and a constant focus on providing value for practitioners.
Note that several of the speakers from the Cloud Symposium will also be participating in a set of panels dedicated to Cloud Computing topics. Be sure to visit the Expert Panels page for details.

"SOA in the Cloud: How Do Cloud-Based Services Change the Way We Build Service-Oriented Solutions?"
Cloud-based services and platforms can benefit from being architecturally shaped by service-orientation and SOA patterns and best practices. But when building service-oriented solutions that incorporate or are entirely comprised of cloud-based services, what new design, development, and deployment considerations does this raise? The panel will discuss how the inclusion of cloud-based technology impacts SOA.

"Will the Open Cloud Become a Reality?"
One of the greatest challenges facing the on-going evolution of the Cloud Computing platform is inter-Cloud provider compatibility. Few standards and conventions exist that will allow organizations with services and data at one Cloud provider to move to another. The Open Cloud community is intending to change that, but what needs to be accomplished in order for this movement to succeed?
